Saras Baug in Pune

Saras Baug is one of the most famous gardens in Pune.This garden was constructed by Nana Saheb Peshwa. This beautiful garden is situated near Parvati Hills. Sarasbaug temple receives thousand visitors a day and special occasions like Ganesha Chaturthi and Ganpati Festival. Saras Baug is located within a 1.5 km from Swargate bus station and 3 km from Pune station.
In 1784, Shrimant Sawai Madhavrao Peshwa built a small temple in Sarasbaug and installed the idol of Shree Siddhivinayak Gajanan, the God he worshiped. Sarasbaug has now become a place of worship for people from all over the world and also a popular hang-out for Punekars.
