Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum Pune

Raja Dinkar Museum is in Pune. Dr. Dinkar Kelkar started collecting exhibits around 1920. The museum now holds over 20,000 objects of which 2,500 are on display. It comprises of rare exhibits and artifacts from all over the country and dates back to the Mughal and the Maratha periods.  Gradually the collection became a point of great attraction even to the visitors abroad.

Collections of objects paintings, handicrafts, armour-suits, musical instruments and many other objects of art and artifacts collected from all over the world. For the music lovers, there is a musical gallery with nearly all types of musical instruments on display. 'Mastani Mahal' is regarded to be the masterpiece to this museum, which was erected here in its original form.

Another attraction is armors made of fish scales and crocodile skin, pistols, long barreled muskets, daggers, shields, swords and small cannons.
